Question:
basically what is the car like to drive? im looking at buying 1 - A 1.3.. is that quite powerful/nippy? i currently drive a 1.8 turbo diesal so im worrying because im gonna be losin power i will notice this big time..although i guess i will get used to how the car drives in time. also, the pedals (lol) are they spaced out enough?.. i know sounds stupid but for example.. i tried a saxo, and god the pedals were close together, there was no way i would be able to drive like that, i mean, i need room for pete's sake lol anyway.. are ka's reliable, are they thirsty cars and are the comfortable to drive? any opinions and information on such things etc would be of great help! cheers x

what are your favorite kind of car and why is it your favorite?
I have a Ka 2 and I really love it. I have just got rid of a 3l automatic car but have got used to it really quickly. Nice and light an speeds away at the traffic lights leaving everyone for dust!!They are really nippy little cars and are good on petrol. Yes the pedals are very slim and close together so if you wear clumpy boots it would take some getting used to. I haven't had any major probs just when headlight bulb goes you can't get at it to change - I actually had to take mine to garage where they took off the whole head lamp covering to reach it!!
I would recommend it - and insurance is more affordable now too!! Happy motoring and good luck xx

the power from a 1.3 would certainly leave your diesel at the lights, but youll pass it whilst its at the pump... petrol engines need regular servicing and they cost a whole lot more to service. plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm extra.. all your diesel needs is oil and filters... (and maybe new injectors at 150 thousand miles)
What in the world does engine breaking mean?
basically petrol engines accellerate quickly from a standing start, but the torque from a diesel is unbeatable from 30 to 70 when overtaking.. which in reality is where you want the power...

hi thereI have a 1998 chevy blazer its hard to start up when the engine is cold?
the ford ka is basically an old ford fiesta wearing a different hat, the 1.3 engine should be nippy enought cos the shell is light and small, the engines are old and can be a bit noisey if not maintained properly, but as with the fiesta they are solid cars and you should get a good few years out of them, as for the pedals they are the same as the fiesta,

My cousin drives one of those (but she also drives a van for work) and complains about "how rubbish it is" when going up hills. She's quite petite so it's comfortable for her, not sure how it would fare for other people. She bought it last year and so far had no problems with it, it's a W reg.Good luck!

Gran Cherokee 96! i need the owner's manual, does anyone know where can i get it in the web..?
would prefer a second hand ,small vw diesel (golf, polo, lupo) than a new ford ka myself. tend to be 'spacious' for there size. and dont look like a suicide option if somtehing goes wrong on a motorway.(also generally good- acceleration , economy , power.
