Car manufacturers will have a larger pool of customers.Should America ban women drivers?
I wouldn't vote for it.Why do we shift when a car turns?
While I certainly can imagine there may be a few who could handle this responsibility well, the larger population of 15 year olds could not.
Why do current hybrid systems employ a gasoline component, rather than a diesel component?
In NJ exceptions are made for children of farmers. It is a restricted license. I think it is 16 years. Regular drivers must be 17. There are also limits on non-family passengers under 21 and late night restriction (unless reporting to or from work) for those under 18. These limits have helped a bit.
How often do you wash your car?
Having another driver in the family is an advantage.I was ticketed for failing to clear a intersection ( running a red light)?
There is a great disadvantage to that advantage though. It is likely that the 15, 16 or 17 year old will wreck the family car, and/or be maimed or killed before they're old enough to drink.

Young people are not equipped with the maturity to handle the overwhelming urge to exercise use of the great power at their disposal. Many adults are likewise.
Age education and experience help but do not make a safe driver. I suggest waiting till they are 16 or so and then strictly limit their use of a vehicle til they are at least 18.

i am 15... and i think that i would be ordered to take my dad to and from the pub all the time if i could drive... i dont think that it would be a good idea. however i really want to drive when im 17... and i think its unfair that the driving age is probably going to go up to 18 just because of stupid boy racer idiots... my birthday is in july so i am one of the youngest in the year... and i have to wait an extra year to drive ... :-(

When I was 15 the state I lived in allowed children to get their drivers licenses when they were 15 if they had gone to a state approved driving instruction school.
Anyone pull a trailer with a VW Jetta TDI automatic?
I went to the classes and did my road instruction with a bunch of other kids and it was pretty much a waste of time. Anyone with an IQ of 50 could pass the tests they gave us. I didn't really learn anything but I was allowed to get my license. Two weeks later I was speeding down a dirt road and rolled my car, injuring my brother and two best friends.
It's one thing to learn the laws and rules of the road but quite another to be responsible and mature enough to follow them. In my experience with 15 year old kids today they are not any more mature or responsible that we were 20 years ago.
Do you think cattle horns on a car/pickup truck hood are 'cool'?
I have a 12 year old child now and the chance of me allowing him to get a license at age 15 is 0%. I just don't think that kids at age 15 are ready to deal with the responsibility of driving around a 4000 pound killing machine.
