Yes, good way to destroy the engine. I have seen this happen before and its not pretty. When you put gas in a diesel engine the diesel fuel injectors become blow torches that melt holes in the pistons and basically the engine goes "nuclear" and melts down. DONT PUT GAS IN YOUR DIESEL ENGINE

Does anyone know what a line vehicle is?

When you use gasoline in a Diesel engine the gasoline does not ignite properly and burns up too quickly and the result is very low power output.

Can someone tow my car from Ft. Morgan to southern SD? I will pay cash.?

The result is slightly more than low power: to quote from the fixxer's reference 'Either something expensive or something very expensive'. You either blow the engine, or wreck the pump. Putting one cup of petrol to 20 gals of diesel won't do it, but one gallon to ten might be expensive. On older engines, it can clog the carburettor or injectors (which are designed for the faster flow of petrol), and on newer ones I believe it can play heck with the engine control system for some reason

Where is the easiest place to pass your driving test?

heres the skinny on what would happen. unless its a really crappy diesel, i.e chevy brand, the engine just wont run well.if enough goes thru the injector,it can be damaged, cause of the lack of lubricity in gasoline. but the engine can run,but will produce very poor power, and have alot of hesitation. it will actually be the computer turning off the engine,if it does shut down. something for ya to chew on and think about, the ford model t burned gasoline, but had no sparkplugs or anything else to ignite the fuel.in essence it was a diesel engine
