i dont no anything about electric cars i had one but i stalled it and it broke down and i broke it to a gazilion parts i busted it to pieces and crashed it with a monster truck in a truck rally. also i can't quit tell you the whole fact on the car if it is a regular non-electric you are going to have fun putting it together.What is the difference between the ON type Olympian and the OLY type?
--------------This can be done, but it is a more advanced engineering project than a typical lead-acid battery powered hobbyist electric car. Here are the batteries I recommend - they are advanced Chinese Li-Ion batteries:

If you look at the chart on that page, you will see that these "Thunder Sky" batteries are very economical compared to the competition. But you will still have to spend several thousand dollars on batteries.

The reason hobbyists still use lead-acid batteries (despite short driving ranges) is that lead-acid is very forgiving of harsh use and poor charging. If you accidentally ruin your batteries, you can replace them for less than $1000. Li-Ion batteries, on the other hand, must be carefully matched to the motor load, and electronically monitored during charge (called battery management) or else ruined batteries, and even fires and explosions can result. Here is somebody who has published a do-it-yourself battery management system free to the web:
