I have lived in the big city up north before. Been there, done it seen it. Hafta drive fast, make fast decicions, rat race. Slick streets? Hafta say other person was at fault cause they rear ended you. Unless you were a dumb @ss and just pulled out without looking. Sorry to say, but you are at majority fault. The idea here is that the car that hit you was travelling a straight path in an proper lane of traffic. Technically, you are not considered to be in a travel lane if you are pulling off of the curb, driveway, or the like. If it was not for you, the car could have continued without incident. Since you interfered with their path, you become at fault.
