It is being manufactured right now for fleet customers like PG&E. If sales go well, it will be made available to individuals next year. Cost is $45,000 for hand-built cars, and this cost will fall considerably when factory production becomes feasible.

The electricity cost to drive an EV is only 1 to 2 cents per mile. I know this because I drive an electric car. Keep an eye on the Phoenix. And if you want to 'get your feet wet' in an EV without spending lots of money, it's possible to get an EV for as little as $5000. Here's a link:

Car Heater Questions...?

i believe oil companys give alot of research money to automakers to keep developing / researching gas powered cars / trucks. oil companys have BIG $$$$$$$ to give away as long as its to there favor. with todays family sizes compact cars are not always user friendly to families, meaning more space is needed for groceries kids car seats driving around other friends ect... however car companys do hear our cries and they too can produce cars with carburaters that get 50 miles to the gallon seems to me fuel injected is the way of making cars tick. carboraters are better fuel efficency. i see commericials for cars getting 30 / 32 miles to the gallon like thats some big deal and new invention (pulling the wool over our eyes) that is nothing that fuel milage my my 94 mazda protege gets better milage than that and its 13 yrs. old
sad state i feel my country is in when it comes to the oil industry thats why we are over in iraq protecting the oil supply bottom line we have ample amount here in the U.S.A talk to your president and ask him about his families interest in oil?
there was a carborater invented in the 70's capable of getting 100 miles to the gallon know where that went? bought by the auto industry to get it off the market.
peace to all!!!!!

Can someone explain how diasle fuel is made?

Car makers are only selling what we buy. Look at the number of big suv's running down the highway. If we did not buy them they would not make them.
