I could TOTALLY live without my car. Well, I have a scooter to zip around on, but if I didn't have that, then I'd ride a bike everywhere. Can't you call a cab? I can live without my cara few weeks ago i didn't have my car and i decided to walk, i felt really good walking (its good exercise)
I felt exactly the same last year I was in an accident which weren't my fault, a JCB rammed into my driver side doors, both of them and covered me with smashed glass. My car was a right off and i had to wait till my insurance was sorted out a month without a car. I'm not idle, but when you have a family of 3 kids and a load of shopping needs doing, and kids need taking to school [half an hours walk]for a month, it aint much fun. Good Luck I know how you feel.
