Sometimes i'm not very decisive when i'm driving i hesitate coming out of junctions or at roundabouts that's partly why i failed does anyone else have this problem?

I did on my first test although i didn't fail i had three marks for hesitation, you just need a bit more practice and reassurance from your instructor to build your confidence up a bit, could also ask your instructor to do a few mock tests with you and go over all the sticky issues, then when you've got a handle on the junctions/roundabouts etc take your test again :o)What are those doll things on the vauxhall ads supposed to be?

Just keep going!! I live near one of the worst test centres in the UK and it only has a 30% pass rate ...I failed 3 times in quick succession and was gutted every time so when I passed on my 4th attempt I didn't believe them!!...but haven't looked back since.Your lack of confidence is due to lack of experience ..The more you drive the better you will be so just keep practising and you will be fine!...you don't really start to drive until you have passed so concentrate on your week areas in your lessons I am sure you will pass eventually!What do you do to save yourself from these crazy fuel prices?

When you first start driving the vehicle has control over you, as time progresses, you have control over the vehicle..now take control..and you'll be fine.

You need more time behind the wheel, are you able to do any "private" practice with friends / family? That will make a big difference.

Do you think you are fully prepared & could drive independantly at the moment? If not you shouldn't be applying for tests.
Do you think your instructor is putting you in for tests too early? Do you think it may be a good idea to go to a different instructor? Not all instructors are the same, some are better than others, don't be guided by price, get recommendations from former pupils, that's always the best way to find an instructor.

Don't leave it too long before booking your next test, now you know what to expect. Each night before you go to sleep, picture yourself, at the end of the test, sat in the car and the examiner saying the word "CONGRATULATIONS", do it every night to reinforce the image. Also, send yourself a "Congratulations on passing your driving test" card to arrive on the day of your test.I wish you all the very best and would like to say "well done" in advance for passing your test!

Firstly, don't leave it too long before you rebook your test. Our daughter used to be hesitant. She passed her theory first time, then didn't get around to booking her practical until her theory cert was almost out of date. She failed the practical twice before her theory certificate expired She then failed the theory three times before getting so cross (and unhesitant) she re-passed her theory and then her test with no hesitation at all.Instead of injecting NOS, why don't people use pure oxygen or high proof alcohol?
In the mean time get as much practice as you can, think about changing instructors and finding someone who is really tough, after that the examiner will seem like a pussycat!
