Odometer affected by larger tires?

Question:
Now we all know that a large tire covers more distance than a smaller tire per revolution. I was curious about how an odometer works with respect to tires - would you actually cover more distance with larger tires, thus cheating the odometer? Or is this calculation just negligible?

Answers:

People once hot debating about future of fossil fuel. Yet car makers build car bigger each day. What happen?

On newer vehicles you can update the computer for larger tires so that it makes the correct calculations for the speedometer also. Because Larger wheels and tires also affect ABS systems and traction control because all these work off magnetic sensors
at the wheels or at the differential. but the answer is yes with larger tires you cover more ground cheating the odometer.

What the **** does torque mean?

bigger or smaller tires affect the number of revolutions of the device thats operates the speedometer. that same device, will also handle the Odoneter
The proper factory recomended tires for that car, will give the best and most accurate preformance of your speedometer/ odometer

Do more people in the world drive on the left or the right hand side of thh road?

You have to have the odometer and spedo calibrated for the larger tires.

About how much money does it take to drive 5 miles in a car?

Yes you can go farther and show less miles, the abs and traction control will not know the difference and will work fine. But you have a better chance of getting a speeding ticket going faster than speedo indicates.
