Question:
My ignition on my 85 bronco went out and I'm resorting to Bypassing the Solenoid and stalling my truck to start and stop it. Will this affect anything later on, someone says my alternator will go out if I keep doing this (it wont be until a while til I can get it fixed and I have to drive across town to get to school)
Answers:

No, it won't hurt, but you really need to get it fixed. What if it died and traffic, and you had to jump out and short it out to start it again...?

Pay now or pay later...isn't that what they sayEssentially you are hot wiring the truck to get around. It could have some side effects since you are shorting out a circuit to make the truck run. The alternator and regulator are the most vulnerable parts in the electrical system.
