iv already done 10 hours worth of driving lessons with myers but feel that its getting me no where i feel they just want my money can you please recommened a driving instructor or driving school and let me know how many lessons it took you to past your test, thanks.

Driving lessons are expensive - it's important you feel that you are getting someone decent that you trust to put you through the test as quickly as your ability allows.Will my boyfriends insurance go up if I were to have a wreck or get ticketed in his car?
I had a rubbish driving instructor at first, I just felt I wasnt learning anything, then I changed to a really good one who actually taught me what I'd need to do to pass the test and be a safe driver, didnt just pootle me round residential roads for no reason as the previous one did
I cant recommend one to you because they're all different - but try somewhere like the AA driving instrcutors with a proven track record or get a friend in your local area to recommend one. You're right to want to change if you're getting nowhere - they're not all good, so pick and choose until you find one that's right for you

Ten hours is very little. Have a little patience! I don't know anyone who did fewer than 30 - 40 hours.I am helping a neighbours girl at present who has taken 10 lessons and was thinking she was getting nowhere!
Her instructor is forced to follow guide lines as to how/what is taught before ticking the (government) box!!!

I have been taking her out and putting her through it with intensive back street driving and all the awkward things I can find. In 10 lessons she has come on magnificently.

Real life driving is not easy nowadays so the sooner you get used to it the easier you will then progress!
I had 30 driving lessons, and the last five were 2 hour ones, then i went for my test and i was lucky as i passed 1st time.
But as my driving instructor said, every one learns at different rates.
My instructor was very good, but it depends on where you live to recommend one, as you could live 100 miles away from me.

Our family history of driving lessons shows that local independent driving schools are better that the corporate ones like AA, BSM etc.Independents have their reputation to uphold so most often do a better job. I was family taught (passed after 4 tests), My wife used an independent (passed first time) my Daughter used BSM (failed twice then gave up) my son who is only 17 is on his 12th lesson with an independent and is ready for his theory test and will be taking his first test very soon.
Everyone is different and some take longer than others to grasp driving. Ask Friends who they used get some idea of who in your area is good, try the phone book. Good luck any way.
ur money would be better spent on a £50 car take it up ur nearest forest and rally the guts out of it on the loggin roads. once youve got used to sliding at speed around corners drivin on the road is piss easy when i was 19 i paid for a mock test which was £25 then put in for my real test and passed first time i never had lessons apart from the pass pluss course
