I agree. Lorry/truck drivers are professionals, and they:1. Know how to drive safely much better than those who post rants about them;
2. Have much harder task at hand that those who never drove a lorry can't appreciate.

Judging by what I saw on the M6 today, the lorry drivers have a long way to go to catch up to the car drivers in general.What was really funny was the pratt who'd managed to veer his ostentatious jag off the carriageway and halfway down a grass verge. I felt so sorry for him...Not.

There is arrogance on both sides. Lots of car drivers don't realise how hard it is to stop a 44 ton lorry. Just as lots of lorry drivers don't realise how frustrating it is to wait behind an over taking lorry that clearly can't do more than 1/2 a mile an hour faster than the lorry that he is overtaking. A little more respect from each other would make life on the road a lot more easy.Car drivers tend to feel invulnerable in their cars but if you ever saw the carnage when a lorry runs over a car,the car drivers would probably not pull in front of the lorry to get off at a junction.
