you can look it up and it will tell youthought that myself when i got stuck in the snow and a hunky man came to my rescue and asked me what my car was(no clue whatsoever)
you usually know when you are sold it but if like me and you were bought it as a gift then i would say check how you pull off in your first two gears. rwd usually has a faster pull off(so i am told)

It has a driveshaft if it's rwd or awd. If you look under the rear end between the wheels the differential is a roundish piece in the center with a shaft running to the front.
If it doesn't have that it's fwd.

well, you can look under the car and see if there is a drive shaft underneath it. the drive shaft will run lengthwise under the car in the middle.or you can have fun with it and try to power stand the car. just hold the brake and mash the gas.. it the rear end tires move then its rwd, if not its prolly a fwdso u wanna know where ur car is a fwd or rwd. look under neith the car to see where it has a drive shaft coming out of the transmission go toward the rear end if it has a drive shaft goin to the rearend it a rwd but if it dont is a fwd
easiest way to tell open your hood and locate your radiator. if its on the side of the vehicle and more towards the back, its a RWD if its in the front, its a FWD
look underneith the car if it has a drive shaft and a rear diff then it is either rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. if the vehicle does not have this than it will be front wheel drive
