How does the UK border work with foreigners cars??
Actually, you need three main items to convert engine power to electrical energy to run an electric motor.Should i get a corvette or another car?
The three main items are, #1- a gasoline engine with sufficient horsepower to turn a #2- generator with sufficient voltage and amperage to operate a #3- electric motor of sufficient horsepower to do the required work.
A simple setup would be to use an automotive 12 volt generator and a 12 volt D C motor. In addition to the main three items, you need some type of speed control. There are a two options. A variac, which controls the voltage to the motor or a set of variable speed pulleys. We used variable speed pulleys on industrial drill presses. One pulley is spring loaded closed and the other is opened and closed with a hand knob, or crank handle. As the knob is turned in it closes that pulley and the other pulley is forced open and visa-versa.
In what states can you pull two trailers?
But, I'm getting ahead of the question. You only asked how to simply combine the engine and an electric motor.
What are the electric scooter laws for lake county indiana?
Good luck
How much is it to install this?
Its the word SIMPLY, that bothers me. because the answer given by 'William m' is a simple solution and if your not bothered about its speed too can make that even simpler by just connecting the engine driven generator directly to the motor without any gears. But to do it properly, and to remove the need for an infinitely variable pulley system, a voltage/current electronic regulator would be you best solution.Have the engine running and driving the generator, and connect the motor to the wheels. to regulate the speed, you would adjust the voltage.current regulator electronically and it would regulate the supply from the generator to the motor. And without a clutch too, because the voltage/current regulator would operate from -12v, reverse, through 0v Stationary, to +12v full speed. So in effect the vehicle could travel in both directions and break too.
