You speed demon (hahaha) but truthfully see if you can pull the county that you recieved your ticket in online and access their court costs if not call that county clerk of court office (directory assistance). The actual ticket may only be 75-225 (but the court costs are ridiculous) ranging in fees from 125.00 up. Whatever you do please show up to your hearing. Did they charge you with speeding, or reckless driving? There is a huge difference, but going twice the posted limit, qualifies it to be reckless. If it's speeding, at your age, the license is gone, I believe for a year. Your fine will be high, the court will likely discuss the matter with you some, before giving their decision, informing you of the opportunity that you lost. If the charge is reckless, I believe you have to wait until 18 to reapply. The fines will be huge, and you'll receive the "talk" from the judge, as before. If you are male, your insurance rates were already high, now it will be possibly so high, that you will not be able to afford to pay it, you'd need someone else to help. Check the website for the state of Florida, you should be able to find out what the penalty is for this crime.Then, check the TN website, for info regarding being a minor, first yr driver ticketed. Aggressive driving is reckless driving. You'll probably get your license back sooner than you think. Consider yourself lucky that no one got injured or killed in this stunt. You might be able to pay the fines; but you can never make up for permanent injury or death. I live in a state full of reckless and rude drivers and this makes it hell just getting back and forth to work. I'm not trying to diss you in any way either. I almost got myself killed at seventeen for just running a stop sign.
