Question:
I recently stumbled across, in my garage, an older model Whistler detector, a Model 1540. I don't need the "cutting edge" technology in radar detection equipment, yet I wonder if this unit still provide a modicum of protection...I know the 1540, e.g., has X, K, Ka and laser/VG2 capability but I know it's close to 10 yrs old. Should I feel comfortable using this older detector? Thnx

Does anyone know were i can find vehicle sales charts?
I wouldn't really trust it too much, being 10 years old and stored away for a long time.It might work, it might not. The only way to find out it doesn't work is going to be expensive enough to have bought a new one.
For a guy standing at 1.9m,any vehicle will suit them comfortably?
If you aren't speeding, this will work fine. It makes an even better paperweight or door stop. I find the best radar detector is my set of eyes. I can always spot a radar trap as I sail by, undetected, because I drive responsibly and within reasonable limits. The last speeding ticket I received was in 1984, before that, 1976.More Questions & Answers ...
