Never heard the term carrying 27 amps. Usually they are rated in Wattage output. If that is what you are referencing, it is putting out 2700 watts. That should power a freezer. you should be able to find the wattage requirements on the freezer somewhere on a tag probably in the back somewhere or right on the compressor motor. You will need to use a separate battery, two would be better, get a deep-cell battery. You will need to use #1gage battery cable from the battery's to the converter and probably #2 gage from the alternator to the batteries. getting a larger output alternator would be a good Idea. I can run a small fridge for a day and a half with a 2000 watt inverter on two deep cell batteries without the engine running, you shouldn't have a problem. First thing to do though is check the wattage needed for the freezer, if it needs more that 2700 watts your inverter wont be strong enough.More Questions & Answers ...
