Hybrids are just a stop gap measure until the hydrogen cars can come along and the intrastructure to support them. I still think we can go to a diesel and use a generator to drive the car just like the trains are using now.

Even batteries on gasoline cars need to be changed, batteries do not last forever. The average battery for a gasoline/diesel car s 5 years. if they're saying a hybird car can get 8 years out of a battery, then thats 3 extra years over a standard battery. No battery lasts forever. Seals start leaking, chemical compositions decay, and the case weakens from abuse and vibrations. 5 years is good, 8 years is amazing.More Questions & Answers ...
