Would you pump Biodiesel into your own car or truck?
(by the way, I live in Saudi Arabia and plan to use the vehicle in the desert)

Can i take my license in my girlfriends car if it is in her mothers name?
Although these cars might be fine for the urban jungle in milder climates, I don't think either of them are reliable enough to be taking into the desert, unless you are the practical type who is capable of running repairs. I certainly wouldn't risk it.How does the car's GPS know when there's "Traffic ahead"?
Among those I know in the Middle East who drive them, I've known of radiator problems occurring in both vehicles. The Disco's in particular struggles with the local climate.
How do I send a bicycle from Fife to Glasgow(no rider)?
The extra money you'd spend on either a Landcruiser or a Nissan Patrol would be well worth it. Even 15 year old models are still very dependable. Parts are more easily available and cheaper too. Jeep parts (and labour) are notoriously pricey in the ME.
Does gasoline and diesel engine use spark plugs?
the land rover disco from the years between 98-02 are notoriously hard to maintain. like many british automakers, they were more concerned with how to glue wood to the dash rather than how to make it run well. the newer ones according to alot of research i have done are alot more reliable, but come at a price. I wanted a disco, but the upkeep was more than i was willing to pay. the newer ones also have the terrain selecter for better handling.QUICK!! How do you parallel park?
I own a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 ... my brother in law owned a '97 Cherokee Sport 4.0. My friend works on Land Rovers. Can a 10kg electric motor lift 37kg by using a blower?
For a good balance between luxury, fuel economy and price ... a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 is probably a good compromise. (I guess living in Saudi ... fuel economy isn't a concern :-) The 4.0 is a great engine in the standard Cherokee, but may be a little underpowered in a Grand Cherokee ... that's why I have the 5.9 V8, but my brother in law had a lot of luck with his 4.0 - very torquey for a 6 cylinder.
If your looking for luxury, go with the Discovery II - best way to impress your friends. Lots of cool high tech offroad features (not sure if pneumatic suspension was included on these). The Disco's aren't necessarily easy to work on and the parts can be expensive.
I got 7 points on my first ticket (driving) in AR. How can i decrease those points?
ALL of the above vehicles have common problems...
Pros and Cons of a Toyota Highlander Hybrid?
Jeeps tend to develop leaks, and their front differentials tend to go out when they get over 100K miles.
The Rovers tend to have electrical issues, and a potentially loud and leaky power steering systems which are not easily repaired.
I guess look at initial cost combined with local used parts availability.

What is the general maximum mileage a car can take?
Hi!Can any one tell me about biogasoline?
I have owned two Discos and one Cherokee.
What was the Ford Model used in Casino Royale?
For me it would be the Disco EVERY TIME.
A couple of years ago I was driving my Disco and walked away from a high speed collision at 70mph. I seriously thought I was gonna die. I was amazed during the immediate aftermath to find myself still conscious! The car was a write off and all I had was a couple of small air bag burns to my face, and the usual whiplash.
How long do you have to keep your P plates on?
Apparently, the bumpers on Discos are made of iron, unlike the plastic/rubber of other cars, so this took the full brunt of the impact.
Couldn't cope with the small amount of storage space with the Cherokee. With the Disco we've carted all sorts of stuff up and down the country in it!
Is it a bad idea to run SUPER SWAMPER TSL/SX in Arizona?
The Cherokee was a little too cramped for me too, the Disco feels like your sitting in a very comfortable armchair at home.
Why isn't a flying car invented yet?
Visibility is far superior in the Disco too.
What is the difference in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks?
For fuel economy - well there's not much in it. You don't buy one of these if your bothered about fuel costs, do you?!
What constitutes a "bad driver" to you? what annoys you most on the road?

I drove my car to work, should I leave it and take the train to class?
Best of luck!
How much did your car cost in relation to your salary?
The disco is actually quite good in the desert, while it is working! The Cherokee is pretty useful too. I have driven Range Rovers in the desert and inherited a Disco some time ago with a chenge in job - I wouldn't touch a disco with a 100 foot barge pole. Too b. unreliable. Do yourself a favour and buy a Land Cruiser. Have you ever seen a Bedu in a Disco? But if you need a simple answer between the Disco and the Jeep it's no contest. Take the JeepI am Italian and i am now in Michigan for 3 months as tourist. Can i get a driver's license here?
Peter T is spot on. How many ragheads do you see driving Discos !Get a Landcruiser, and this is from someone with a 4.0Ltr Cherokee !
