What if I want to use my European car in the USA?

I’m in Europe, what if I want to use my car in the USA?
How can I have it shipped there? How much does it cost? Are there any „rules” about using European cars in the States? Does anyone know?

You have to make sure the car meets the standards for the cars here in the US. I don't know about the European Cars but when my friends were trying to send their cars from Japan it cost a couple of thousand dollars to ship them here then get it to code so it would be street legal.
