Why is the steering wheel so big?
Cheap and reliable. So if the teen mashes it no one will cry. On the other hand young people don't know how to handle a lot of car issues so reliability would be a bonus.Older Toyota Corolla or Toyota Tercel would be both good (if the teen is not too demanding). Both low on insurance and don't require much maintance. They don't require premium fuel, parts are available everywhere, tires are small and cheap to replace.
If you want something a little more flashy - maybe a Mazda Protege5? Not so cheap anymore but looks quite nice and is peppy. If you want something larger get a Toyota Camry or a Honda Accord. Both proven, reliable cars even if not very exotic. Avoid domestic vehicles (break down too often) and European cars (expensive as hell to purchase and to work on).
What can i do to raise my car about 2 inches without wasting a lot of money?
