Well i have a 1991 ford ranger it has a five speed and i shift out of 1st gear at about 2000 rpm or 35 mph and second gear about 2000 rpm or 45 mph and 3rd gear at about 2500 rpm or 55 and then i just go through the gears until i get at a steady speed. It all depends on the vehicle. some you have to use a little more throttle and some you dont
