Question:
in UK we have to get a provisional licence before we can have lessons, and before we take our driving test we have to pass a theory and hazard perception test. Our driving test is aproximately 40 minutes long. We have to do 2 manoeuvres on this test out of a possible three, turn in the road (used to be 3 point turn), reverse parking (used to be parallel parking) or reverse round a corner. We use the same car we have learnt to drive in (ive heard that in Australia they have to do their test in a completely different car, is that true?), Im just curious

Why Are Diesel Engines Used In Semi Trucks Instead of Gas?
I live in the U.S. I went and got a learner's permit at 15 and a half, after having completed and passed a written exam on the rules of driving safety, and proceeded to harass my parents into teaching me to drive. At 16, I was able to get my license in whatever vehicle I felt best suited my needs. I was required to do a three-point turn, parallel park (which I failed miserably at), and just drove where the assessor told me to. And then they took my pic and I scuttled off with my brand new license. Been driving ever since.in america we go to a class for a couple weeks then we get a provisional license too but then after that umm.we do the parallel parking and left turns we get to use whatever car we want most of the time i used the one from the driving course. sometimes though our instructors dont care mine ate chips and blared music the whole time and my brothers fell asleep during his test
