Question:
I have lived in a number of states in the U.S. and the curious practice of driving around with a flyer tucked under the windshield wiper seems to be universal. Ordinarily I remove the flyer and throw it away. Some, however, prefer to drive around without removing it as if it is some sort of ornament. I am curious as to what the deeper meaning of this practice is - other than a sense of pride over driving around with a flyer under your wiper.
