Literally all you have to do in an automatic is this: turn the key to start the car. Put the gear shift in 'D' for 'drive'. Press the accelerator to go. Press the brake to stop. Easy, peasy, Japanesey.

automatic is definitly easier since u only have to worry about the gas and brake pedals. An automatic is much easier and safer for someone who's a nervous driver. You have mobility with your hands in certain conditions when driving an automatic unlike having to shift with a manual. If you know how to drive manual there's really not much of a need to learn automatic. There are dual drives on the market as well.
