There is only one way to drift a front wheel drive vehicle and it can not be done for very long; it's a matter of physics.
1)Make sure your rear brakes are in good condition, and that your hand brake is nice and tight.
2)Drive in a straight line and catch some speed, about 25mph is sufficient.
3)Take your foot off the gas and yank the hand-brake so that the rear wheels lock as you turn the steering wheel to the right or left. (make sure you are keeping the button pushed in with your thumb the whole time so that you can let the handbrake down quickly)
4)drop the hand-brake down to stop your drift.

Does a 2-door 1981 Pontiac T1000 have front wheel drive, or rear wheel drive?

Note: the speed at which you are travelling, the length of time you keep the hand-brake pulled up, the amount of turn on your steering wheel, and the stiffness of your suspension will determine how your drift will perform. If your suspension is too soft and you are going too fast, you will roll. Practice in an empty parking lot when it's wet to get the feel for it. I can do quick U-Turns when I'm driving down the road. If you want to learn more, go to stunt driving school. Good luck, don't crash. :)

Are customized license plates with the car's make on it illegal? Ex. Nissan symbol instead of state issued

i guess the answer would be "sorta". The way drifting is scored you would be at a huge disadvantage using a FWD car, but against someone with zero skill in a RWD car, you could pull off a victory..Its very hard to do a power slide, bringing the rear end around and hold it around a corner when your front wheels are spinning because the FWD car will not steer when the wheels spin. Creative use of the handbrake could get you some kudos, but its a RWD sport in the end.

J need good transportation only got 2,000 totaled my car need help?

Yes it should be possible not as good as a RWD but you should be able to as long as you can sling the *** end around. Your car will wip back faster because the wheels will pull you in the direction of the angle of the tire RWD is the ideal car for drifting.

Where can I find driving directions for a commercial vehicle?

lol, yes you can... drive your back wheels on a plastic tray and e-brake it... then use your front wheels to power and steering, It is sooooo much fun!! But don't go fast, because it gets dangerous really quickly...

What was your first car?

I never have drifted on a FWD but it would be possible.

TRUCK DRIVERS: What is the average rate per mile for pulling your own loads?

Yes, not that long, you lose power through long turns. Just pull the e-brake a lot, rainny day and bald rear tires help.

If you get your GED do you have to wait until you are 18 to get your driver's license?

You can, but not well. Power-sliding is not easy in a RWD car - it's too easy to overdo it and spin out. FWD is more predictable, but you can't keep the slide going for long. Basically, you have to pull the handbrake as you turn, so you can get the rear to step out of line. However, hitting the throttle will make the car straighten up, since the rear tyres will be sliding (thus losing speed) and the front will be pulling ahead (speeding up.) This means that the car will start to straighten up as soon as you hit the gas - but if you don't, the car will simply stop on the track. FWD actually works best on dirt and gravel, as you can hold the car sideways longer (although not at such high speeds.)
