Answers:

What is the greatest size tire and wheel combo I can put on my 2000 Dodge Neon ES. It has stock suspension.?

You won't get the Answer here. What is needed is a Diagnostic Scan Tool, connected to Your Car to determine what Portion of Your ABS System is Defective, Brake Wheel ABS Sensors , ABS Computer Module, Master Cylinder, and a number of other things as well. If you can, check under Your Car, around the Inside Portion of each Wheel, and see if any Mud or Dirt is Caked Up on any of the Wheel Sensors. This will cause the Light to come on since no Signal can get back to the ABS Computer. That's about the only thing You can do-it-Yourself on ABS. I have seen it happen, after the ABS Computer was Replaced , and Hundred$ wastefully Spent !

Absolutely. You need to get it checked out immediately... it could mean that your ABS system is not working and won't engage as it should.

gvaporcarb's Answer is by far the best, only there is one other option that has not been mentioned here, and that's to take you vehicle to an authorized vehicle dismantler and simply ask them to change your abs module. Most times this is a very easy procedure and takes just minuets to do. Provided the unit they try is working ok, the light will go out. Only though, if your unit where faulty in the first place. If however, when the unit is replaced, the light stayed on, then you have lost nothing, you don't need to pay anything or for a replacement abs unit, and you can be pretty sure the fault lies elsewhere. As again quote gvaporcarb's Answer... there are limitations to what you as perhaps a novice can do other than take the vehicle to a dealer or a garage you can trust! Only now you have the advantage of least being charged for something you don't need. a replacement censor to some unscrupulous garages may not be incentive enough and thus they may be tempted to charge you for a replacement ABS module? And that being anything in excess of £200 is a big incentive to some garages.
