that is your traction control it uses your engine and brakes to keep your car stable kinda like a.b.s. it helps on ice snow and rain

What vehicles can i drive in the uk with a full uk driving licence?

Drive with it on. You should only take it off if you want to peel out in the car or just like driving with the Low Trac light on.

How do I send a bicycle from Fife to Glasgow(no rider)?

Check the owner's manual to be sure, but that's probably the traction control switch. Traction control let's the car's computer control how much power gets to the wheels when they're on a slick surface. If you're on ice, for example, and you floor it, the wheels spin, you don't get much traction, and you may spin out or slide off into a ditch. With the traction control on, though, the computer will reduce the power out of the engine until the wheels don't spin. You still get power to the ground, but only enough to keep you moving and under control.

Misfire???????

We had a car with this system, and it worked great for driving on ice and snow, on wet roads, etc. You should drive with it on unless there's a real need to not use it - like you're already stuck.
