I have a 88 gmc 1500 truck??

and i am wanting to buy a different intrament cluster for the dash the one i am looking at is for a 92-95 chevy/gmc trucks with tach mine doesnt have tach on it my question is what kinda promblems will i run into if i retro fit it into my 88 and how do i hook up the tach any info is welcomed so thanks everyone!!

there are alot of differances between a '88 and '95 style truck dash. and alot more motor is more computerized and wiring harness is differant. YOU WOULD NEED TO PUT '95 MOTOR, WIRING HARNESS, COMPUTER AND WHOLE DASH ASSY.AND THE TRANSMISSION IN YOUR '88 GMC. the best thing for you to do to get a tach is for a '88 GMC and mount it on your dash or some where.
