Idle speed????

Question:
My idle speed keeps going up and down most of the time when it's idling. I have a 1997 e320, and I have put on a special order short ram intake. can some1 please help me?

It could be the airconditioning "idling up" the engine when the compressor cuts in - unlikely if you have only put on a short ram intake.

Can you install a sunroof in a car that doesn't have a sunroof?

If the car is fitted with an AFM (airflow meter) it may be airflow reversion caused by altering the intake tract or intake flow characteristics. you can buy a AFM signal modifier which smooths out the spikes in the AFM signal caused by the sudden changes of airflow (which are now more pronounced / exacerbated by the chaned inlet tract). These can be bought from HKS (as alot of turbo jap cars - particularly nissans with their AFM's ) suffer from reversion when intakes / plenums / cams / turbos are changed.

Does cruise control waste gas or save gas?

Try replacing the throttle position sensor.
