What is more important in determining speed and force: hp or rpm?

Question:
i am looking for a winch motor and was wanting to know which ones will create the stronger more intense pull. So what would be more important rpm or hp or of course a combination of both.

HP is how much force, RPM is how quickly. If you're never in a hurry, go for HP. RPM is just an added selling point.

its all about what ur putting it on if its a big 4x4 i would go for hp and a little rpm so u can pull more but ifs going on a atv i would get more rpm and less hp bc u dont need much power to pull a avt

Will oil thats commonly used to power oil fired central heating run a diesel car ??

most likely a slow rpm will have more pull power because the gear reduction is more. It just like the rear end, more reduction more pull power. the faster it turns the more hp it will need to do the same job.
