Car question?

I just bought a new satellite receiver and I want to install it into my car. I was wondering if there will be any problems with putting the magnetic antenna (Sirius Ultra Low Profile Car Antenna) on the sheet metal. Over time, will the paint under the antenna become worse than on the rest of the car? Did anyone have any bad experiences? If so please let me know. Thanks.

The antenna should have a minimal effect on the car paint for a year or so. However, if you usually park your car under the sun, or if you live near the sea coast, then you may probably notice a difference in color betweent the covered area and the exposed area.

Well, one thing's for sure. Dirt will build-up on the edges of your antenna, and it will be quite difficult to remove on the car paint. Anyway, Turtle Wax, Mother's or Meguire's car cleaning products can surely take the dirt off.

No,the paint under the magnet will stay fresher looking than the rest of the car.
The rays of the sun will fade most all paint jobs in time.Best thing you can do is keep your car washed and waxed.

Tha depends where you live, if your're in the cold snow weather you should clean under more often because moisture and salt stays trapped.
