I can't find my counterpart (paper part) of my provisional driving license - Got test in a day!!?

Question:
I can't find my counterpart (the paper part) of my provisional driving license - I have my test in a day!!
What should I do? I heard sometimes the driving instructor can sign something.. I have everything else (theory, photocard license etc). I don't know if i'll have to cancel my test. Anyone?
