Question:
I’m in Maryland and my friends say that since I’m 18 I can drive between 12-5am even though my provisional license does not permit it. is that right?
Answers:
My car is 13 years old, but still works fine. How much longer should I keep it?
Q - Can I carry passengers?
A - During the first 5 months (151 days) of the provisional period, drivers under the age of eighteen (18), may not carry passengers who are minors (under eighteen), unless they are accompanied by a qualified supervising driver or the passengers are direct family members. You may not carry passengers who are your friends, or anyone else who is not related to you, and does not live in your house.
Do you have a person's name for your car? What is it?
All the rules on the web page http://mva.state.md.us/index.html... say "under 18" on all the restrictions, so it appears 18 is the magic age when the restrictions disappear. But to be perfectly safe, I think I would stop by and get a full license if possible.
