If you can have any car, what car would you get?
It would have to be about 5 years ago when my wife and I travelled from UK to San Francisco and then took a driving holiday along the famous Highway 1 through Big Sur and on through San Francisco, Nappa Valley and on through Giant Redwood Country to Eureka. It was the most memorable journey. Outstanding sea scapes along Highway 1, crossing the golden gate Bridge and the driving amongst the Giant redwoods. Driving from Lincolnshire to the borders of Wales in February of the 'Great Winter' of 62/63 (one of the worst on record), in an MGA with my then girlfriend. Incidentally, the AA had said the roads we intended using were impassable - but they were not (as long as one drove carefully). Although we found ourselves driving through 'tunnels' of piled up snow on occasions, we got to our destination. We got back, too! Today, 2 cm of snow falls and the UK transport system seizes up...Can anyone advise me on what I need to look for in a Driving instructor?

When I was 23 years of age and had recently bought a new MG Midget( Everton blue with wire wheels) I spent a fantastic fortnight travelling around Scotland. From Oban to Edinburgh and then up to Inverness and Lybster. Then over to Skye and then down the west coast over the ferry and then down Glen Coe. I will never forget the experience of travelling through that great pass with an impression that the MG was being pushed into the road by the sheer magnificance of the place. I do recollect seeing something which looked like a serpent when passing Loch Ness but I had paid a visit to a local hostelry. It was a fantastic journey which I will never forget. The weather was great and I had the top off the car from the time I left North Wales to the time of my return.Outdraging a new M3 on way to lunch, after lunch watching scooby doo over toast a corner causing car to hit kerb and several grand of damage just to get past me. That will teach them to slag of my new Cupra R.
Driving my Citroen BX16v from Glasgow to Fort William, along the side of Loch Lomond, across Rannock Moor and down Glen Coe. It was the early hours of the morning and I was running with a fast MkII Escort and an Audi Quattro Coupé. We had a marvelous drive at high speed, yet with courtesy and consideration. I miss that car!

Is The DMV Open On Good Friday?
Hmm could it be taking my dad's 77 malibu station wagon's speedometer needle past the 100mph mark for the first time( to this day 17 yrs later we still haven't figured out how fast we were going when it got to the right turn signal indicator). Or my 120mph dash down the Garden State Parkway, the old man was in the passenger seat boy did he s**t himself. Or trying to race a Buick Grand National and beating it off the line only to see it blow past me like I was standing still. I have so many favorites it's hard to pick just one.More Questions & Answers ...
