Was 1971 a good year for the muscle car era?

In my humble opinion, i would say Volkswagen, as iv owned three VW Golfs in my life (Golf 2, Golf 3, Golf4) and planning on purchasing the new GTi 5 in the near future. I know alot of people on this might even say Toyota but for me its a fallacy as iv owned 2 Toyota's, one of which kept on giving up the ghost in stop-start traffic situations and the other which had extremely poor fuel consumption. As well, the new Golf 5 has been voted the car with the highest quality (perceived quality and actual quality) in its class in Europe.

Neutral safety switch on a 99 saturn sl2?

They are all the same. They all wear and they all break down. It just depends how much you want to spend on parts and if you want to support your own country!
Obviously, American made cars have cheaper parts than a VW, or a Toyota.
When it comes to American made vehicles, a GM product is your best bet!

I'm going to take my permit test (driving portion). Do you guys have any words of advice?

Anything non-American and non-Korean is reliable, except for cars that belong to GM (e.g. Volvo is non-American and is a belonging of GM). If you're crazy about American cars then only Cadillac.

When you ask a Q like this, you will get a handful of answerers & opinions of experiences.
I will post the most recent results of a study by J.D.Powers & Associates.
This is an ongoing study & is published anually.
They collect data on THOUSANDS of vehicles.
The study is of vehicles on the road for 3 years.
The data recorded is based on how many times the vehicles are in the repair shop over the 1st 3 years on the road. (not related to maintenance, ie oil change, tire rotation etc)
This will determine the "reliability" factor of any manufacturer.

Does anyone know how much is the motorbike test?

I have a Chevy TH350 Transmission and I do not know what year it is, Can someone help me?

My vote comes from my wallet and my next vehicle will be a Toyota. I don't think all vehicles from a single manufacturer can be considered the same. For example, my last truck was a Ford and lasted a long time, but I don't think their cars are very reliable.

Do you think the road tax hike will reduce 4x4,s popularity OR will it make no difference.will people just pay

Most definitely Dodge or Chrysler. Not only does the AC last Forever but they are very user friendly cars. Some of the new er Chrysler (2005 & up) come with Mrcedes Benzes parts. Personaly I have A 1970 Dodge, all original parts, axcept for tires and it runs better than a 1990 Ford. My sister had a Nissan Pathfinder and it was unreliable times four. Toyota is good too, But I prefer Dodge.

Are there any grants available to buy a truck or car?

that really depends. if your buying a truck, american trucks are the best and most capable. like the dodge rams never stop runny and jeep wrnaglers last forever. toyota's are good but if you want a car that will last forever, get an american car. they just dont quit.

I have recently lost my licence for 3 years. Does any body know if i can leagally drive in other countries?

Rule of thumb. No matter what vehicle you drive, if it runs good, its good. If it doesn't , it is a pice of s***.. Mostly depends on personal preferance.

Best place for a young woman to start learning about modified imports aside from just watching films?

We all speak from experience myself found that had American German and Japanese cars and since stuck with Japanese cars.
Myself found that where better made and parts needed changing less often.
Engines last longer into higher mileage and less noisey.
Would have German again but 1st choice Japanese.
