Question:
i have a 04 nissan sentra and it had some fuel pump problems that i finally got fixed. now i was wondering if there is anything that will cut down on my acceleration time? i think 0-60 takes me something like 10 seconds (really)
its a small car with an automatic transmission but it doesn't drive the way i think it should. i'm not looking to get V-6 performance out of it but just a little more zip like i just got a tune-up...but everyday.
i'm not looking for any extreme modifications. something simple (i.e. cold air intake) is good. any suggestions??

Does anyone know of any Gas dicount coupons or cards?
When you changed the fuel pump did you happen to replace the fuel filter as well? A dirty fuel filter will cause poor acceleration, have that check out. You may also want to look at the gearing of the transmission. This is an economy car and is designed to get the best gas mileage possible. If you have a final drive of like 2.8 or 2.5 you will always have a lazy start. The only way to change that is to check the final drive to a 3.11 or 3.25 it will give you a little quicker launch but your mileage will suffer. (I know this is an extreme mod but it was used to help you understand the problem) unless you willing to change the economy aspect of the car there are no real cheap modifications to give you the acceleration that you are wanting or needing from the car. But I would look at that fuel filter.CAI, Header, catback system, ECU upgrade.

well, you just named one good one, a K&N intake will do good. But don't just get the filter...get the whole thing, which can be costly, but is much more effective. You could get exhaust...but to me, it's not worth the noise for the slight boost in power. What is the most expensive lamborghini car?
my snowmobile does 0-60 in 3.52 seconds (really) i think you should get high performance tires stems. they add mad acceleration. good luckThe system for removing wheel drums of a bedford coach?
i own a repair shop and there's a few cheap things you can do to it ,a cold air intake is one,and run a set of Bosch platinum plugs in it they run a little hotter and burn the gas a lot better, other than a performance chip there really aren't many cheap mods to do to it to really help it that much, good luck with it.With such a small amount of displacement, cai and such won't be noticeable. It'll just be loud and make people think you're a lame ricer. IIntake/exhaust mods usually only add power to the top end of the tach anyways, and if it's taking you that long to get up to speed, you're probably staying pretty low in the RPM range. If the car is that slow when you're redlining it, possibly something is wrong with it. A misfiring cylinder, or your air/fuel mixture is too rich and robbing you of power.
