Is my International Driver's License (acquired thru left-hand driving) valid in the UK (right-hand driving)?

I'm planning to get my driver's license here in the Middle East, and I can convert it to an International Driver's License. I'll be going to London next year. I'm just worried that I won't be able to use it there because driving here is left-hand drive, and I think it's right-hand drive in London. Thanks in advance guys!
