Yes it does effect because it puts a larger strain on the engine, the same as a human with a heavy back pack. but not enough to make you take the 40lbs if your close to E. if you had furniture in your car, then that would make a difference.Which of these cars would you buy?

40p it dosent make a big defrnt but ther is some other thing cost extera gas incloding waight, driving with AC on, short trips( because its use mor gas to get the wrait tempretur), low tier pruser, and how you start driving on the stop light the faser the momr gas . . . . etc
