My car is being fixed at the moment and the mechanic contacted a garage for a new part. my registration number wasn't recognised so they asked for the chassis number. But my car doesn't have on anywhere on it? It might be in the log book somewhere but I haven't checked as its at home and I'm at work. I know its dodgy but what does it mean?!

there are millions of cars that are sold to people that are wrecked ,salvaged , and rebuilt using other cars , then painted ,and sold as newer cars , most places do not require car lots to disclose this information .. I always tell people if you do not know cars inside ,and out ..then why spend so much money for one , if you don't know things to look for always take someone with you who does know what to check with you when purchasing a car... dealers are not honest except the fact they honestly want your money at all costs
