The best thing to do if you really want to pursue this project is find a donor car that has been wrecked at the salvage yard. You will have to change the entire engine harness along with the engine controller. There will be many different parts such as mounts, brackets, etc that will need to be changed. The controller doesn't need to be reprogrammed at the dealer if it was removed from a running car. Remember, this project will take more than just a weekend to comlete. Also get a factory service manual for both cars since inevitably, there will probably be some wiring changes that the new harness will need.

Now, If you are planning to add NOS and want to go over a 75hp shot you will most probably need to reprogram it anyway or use an aftermarket controller for that app. you will need to change spark plugs and maybe the fuel pump.

Another option could be just to ad NOS to your existing normally aspirated V6 and try to free some horsepower through better flowing intake, exhaust and maybe an underdrive pulley.
