Question:
how much does it cost?
Answers:
well it depends where in the world ur planning to do this conversion. but it should cost about the same as the car when it was new. its not abnormal for a well tuned engine 2 be worth more than the care. i reccomend u just go for a 2liter vtec with a stage 2 conversion around 300 bhp. will give you plenty of giggles and tears as you shred your tires
why civics.. wats the point.. seriously.. if u want 500hp.. get urself a car that isnt gonna just spin its wheels everytime u hit the gas.. get urself an evo8, drop in a fq450 engine from GB.. and u have urself an AWD car that can beat a gallardo.. in everything..
People above didn't answer your question and don't know what they are talking about.
First... my friend has a 550hp to the wheels Honda Civic EK9 (been on the Dyno). It has taken a lot of money... roughly 20-25k and the car was about 10k when he bought it because the guy before him did some stuff.
How can I find the exact engine that my car has? I have a 2001 Toyota MR-2 Spyder.?
Second... I have an EVO. What is so special with the EVO and AWD? Why? EVO weighs more than a Honda Civic EK9 because of AWD and a bigger car... the money $36k for a car and $10k-15k to upgrade to get 500hp to the wheels compared to $30-35k everything on Honda. Only advantage is Honda Civic will use more tires on the front because it is the driving force and steering compared to an EVO.
Are bentleys and rolls royces reliables cars?
Third... my friend races track races against Lambo, Maseratis, Ferraris... and my friend easily can pass them on straights and corners... balance and weight are also important to HP. Why do you think there is a Mazda Miata race series... small cars drive better on some courses than big cars.
