Cruise control in a standard transmission?

Question:
i havent tested it out but what happens when cruising in fifth or whatever gear and you start up a hill where a downshift will be necessary? does the cruise control disengage or would it keep fuel flowing and eventually bog out? and what happens if you shift gears while in cruise? will it adjust for the shift and maintain the same speed its set at?

Answers:

H776YSE your old car.?

i own a shop ,and its designed in to the ones on a standard shift to kick out of cruise control once it drops below 45 miles per hour, and that's in 5,th gear, but they,ll usually kick out at about 50 on most of the ones i have drove, good luck i hope this helps.

Is blowby more in CNG engines or in Diesel engines (Buses)?

if your speed drops below a certain number the cruise will shut off. as for shifting when you push in the clutch the cruise will turn off on its own due to a switch on the pedal.
