Question:
I have seen people do this to a rental car and am curious as to what actually happens when they do that.
Answers:
If you were a car, what type would you be and why?
it will grind and it will possibly bend the park pawl if you put it in park when going slow, which is worse than when you put it in park at high speed.lol grrrriiiinnnndddd!! voooommm no more moovving!!
It's one of the worst things you can do to a transmission. Some people act this way, cuz it's not their car. Basically it's like sticking a steel rod into the spokes on your bike. It's not good!
What Mercedes Benz model is the cheapest and how much do they cost brand new?
Well the transmission just makes this loud clicking noise until the car stops. but did not mess up the tranny. What is your favorite color for your car?, for your truck? and why??
Long-term abuse will tear out the park sensor. A friend threw an Eclipse into park at 65mph and we thought it tore the transmission out, but it was only the park sensor. Why aren't radio antennas inside of front windows any more?
With a rent a junk, you laugh you head off.
Which is better a V6 or an inline 4? I am leaning in the Acura/Honda direction.?
OUCH. That is hard on the parts. Actually, all you'll hear is a loud clicking and the park dog is trying to seat itself into the locking position but can't because the wrong parts are moving and shouldn't be.That is why a lot of rental companies won't rent a car to anyone under 25.
Difference between supercars and regular cars?
Mainly, it screws up the transmission, and the car doesn't even stop! Not immediately, anyway. I lost the brakes on my '69 Chevy truck and almost drove into a 7-11. I threw it in park, and it went up on the sidewalk and stopped. It made this heinous clicking noise, and a couple months later the transmission went out. My husband was pissed, but if he had replaced the brakes, I wouldn't have had to do that.if your fast enough you can break the transmission (even better when you switch to reverse), or the car will just skid
