I live in Canada, and as most know, it snows here quite a bit and we do get icey/slippery roads. I am interested in buying a 2001 or 2002 Chevrolet Corvette, and am wondering if it is driveable in winter conditions.
1. How will it perform on snow/ice?
2. If traction is a problem, can it be solved with winter tires?
3. If there is anything else i should know about driving/owning a corvette in winter, please share.

Look around when it snows and tell me how many you see out. About zero.Any rear wheel drive sports car sucks in the snow. Corvette, Lexus SC400, Porsche, etc. These are not all season cars, but sport cars, designed for dry pavement driving. Even most automatic cars washes in the USA won't allow Vette's into them for the wheels are too wide.

A Vette is not a main car to own, but as a side toy unless you live in a place like Florida.
Buddy just bought a 98' Lexus SC400 and we just got some good snow here in Ohio over the past few weeks. His car has been left in the garage cause he can't even get it out over the 1" of ice and snow that is on his driveway...even with traction control.
if you planning on buy that do yourself a favor and spend 500 bucks and get an old 4x4 s-10 for the nasty days and keep the vette looking nice
