You should be okay, but it's not as good as 4X4.

Does a cam lower gas milage?

The problem is the 4X2 is rear-wheel drive, and there's usually not much weight in the bed of the truck to get traction on the back wheels. You can buy sandbags at the store and put them in the bed to fix this.

That depends on what kind of driving you are talking about. It also depends on whether the truck has traction control or not.

If I put my car in neutral during a traffic stop and put in back in drive when I moved, will it save gas?

If you are only driving on city streets in snowy conditions, a good set of snow tires would be nearly as effective as chains.

If you plan on driving elsewhere like on other than city streets, you might be better off with a 4x4.

Where can I hire a car to drive from England to Switzerland and back again?

The secret to driving on snow, is realizing that it's SNOW!! It's wet, cold, and slippery. Even 4x4's have problems with snow. They can get going very well, but they have probems stopping just like everyone else.

what's your dream car? do you think you'll ever afford it?

lemar is right, a 4x2 can but its tricky at times for traction,if you hv=ave a manual trans id suggest starting off in a higher gear to help prevent wheel spin.if its a packing snow, reduce tire pressure, and add weight.dont go crazy with letting out the air, maybe 10 psi.what this does is let you have a better footprint on a wet packing snow, which gives you more traction. if its a powder, stay at full pressure so you can push through onto pavement, dirt etc..the sand bags are a good idea, but ya might want to place them near the tail gate for more ballast
