Toyota Aygo, anyone know of problems with water leaking into this car ?

Question:
I have had to visit the garage a few times with damp and wet carpets, but the dealer keeps fobbing me off with a load of claptrap about the heater in the car causing condensation, etc, this problem has been going on since I bought this car new, 1 1/2 years ago.

It's a known problem, and there's a fix for it. Toyota have an internal Technical Bulletin covering it, andI suspect you dealer hasn't even bother to check the system to see if it's there. Ask them to check their TOTS system (Toyota Online Technical Support) to check for technical bulletins and product reports.

I'm no car genius but if the leak is only in the front floor panels then I would say the seal between your cowel dash panel and windsheild is leaking. I would write a letter to Toyota explaining your problem since the car is so new.......good luck

$465 to replace a mass air flow meter on a 15 year old Volvo?

Don't know the car, but had a similar problem and it was the air con pipe - on mine it ran behind the carpet below the passenger glove box and the pipe had come loose. The moisture the air con takes out of the air condenses in this pipe and runs out onto the road, but because it had come of it was running into the car instead. Just needed putting back on and crimping a bit with pliers. Good luck.
