i want to know if ford can do a reverse retrofit on a 2001 crown victoria and 2000 f-150 truck from cng to unleaded gasoline. they both were made at the factory to use cng but i would like to use unleaded gasoline. any information would be helpful. thank you.

It would require getting a new engine and replacing the entire fuel system that is currently on it. CNG engines are manufactured to handle higher fuel pressures than unleaded gasoline engines. Have you thought about getting a home CNG fueling appliance? It usually is much cheaper to run on CNG than unleaded gas anyway. Truthfully it is problably cheaper to have a home fueling appliance than to switch it to run on regular gas. Here it is 95 cents a gallon for CNG at a public pump, and the cost is less if you fuel at home.
