I don't believe they would. I think you whould have to get cash out of a ATM.(If you have a card)I know atleast one Mobil gas station in our area who takes checks but they use the check to do an immediate electronic debit out of your checking account.

Holy crap. I have never heard of a gas station not taking a check. If they didn't, I would never have gas in my car! When I worked at a gas station and someone didn't have cash/credit card to pay with we asked for something of value ( drivers license, small child, etc) as a deposit to hold til they came back with the cash. We only took checks from a select ,few people. But back then we also offered "full service" too.Why is gas sold in 9/10 of a gallon instead of 1 gallon?
