I own a 2007 ford f150 with 255/70/r17 tires. Is it safe or possible to install 265/70/r17 tires?
Some cars require a higher octane gasoline, most don't. Those that require higher octane may "knock" if regular gas is used in them. It is hard to describe to you what causes knocking if you don't know much about cars. It has to do with when the fuel explodes and the position of the piston when it does. But let's just say it is not good for your car's engine.
You won't have to worry about your car "knocking" if you use the right fuel for that car and keep it tuned up.
